WELCOME

Our in-house competency is the removal of old or undesired finishes from many types of architectural woodwork including regular and built-in furniture, paneling, wainscoting, moldings, doors and windows, kitchen cabinets and millwork, coffered ceilings, mantle-pieces, or staircases. We utilize technologically advanced equipment, products and processes, to restore your valuable pieces of woodwork on-site or in our environmentally controlled production facility. We employ tried and proven methods and processes to meticulously remove all old and undesired finishes from the woodwork. While on-site we take painstaking care to preserve the adjacent finishes and materials from the stripping agents we employ. We follow our practice of creating a very well detailed project plan which is communicated to all involved, prior to starting the project. Before we pass the work on to our finishers, we engage in a thorough inspection to insure that each piece of stripped wood or surface meets or surpasses your required standards of quality. Our practice is to use environmentally friendly stripping agents whenever we can, to remove finish from wood. OSHA and the EPA vigorously regulate and enforce the rules surrounding the use of Methylene Chloride which in turn add significantly to our industry's operating overhead. So to mitigate much of the compliance issues, we try to use materials that are not as heavily regulated and are deemed safe by these two oversight bodies. Through our own management team we may be able to deliver a completed project without your having to deal with or negotiate with several vendors and trades-people that may be involved in the project.

SERVICE OFFERINGS

We offer our customers Wood Stripping, Restoration, Refinishing and Refurbishing. Whether it’s a fine piece of built-in architectural millwork, a kitchen cabinet system, a solid wooden door or a center hall stair, we help our customers determine the best path to take. Not all undesirable wood finishes require the same treatment to bring back their original charm. Whatever the condition of the woodwork and the customer's desires we assist in selecting the most appropriate and economic way to add value and a desirable appearance to the piece. We always make sure that the processes, time, materials and labor costs involved in completing the project is understood by all before starting each job.

Because old woodwork can vary so widely in color and texture based on age, species, and the type of finishes used over the years; very little guarantee can be made up-front as to the quality of the finished piece until much of the old and underlying finishes have been removed and a more informed assessment made. As a result, we cannot design the finishing schedule until such an assessment is done. In most cases we make our recommendations for the type of finish by actively engaging our customers in the finish selection process.
